Obama: Armstrong, One Greatest Heroes

U.S. President Barack Obama praised the late Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the moon.

As reported, Neil Armstong died in Ohio, Saturday (08/25/2012), postoperative cardiovascular complications following some time ago. Armstrong died at the age of 82.

"Neil is one of America's greatest heroes - not only in his time, but of all time," Obama said through a statement released by the White House on Saturday.

Obama insisted, Armstrong and other astronauts in the Apollo 11 taking off in 1969, brings with it the aspirations of the entire nation (America).

"They lifted up to show the world that the American spirit far beyond that seemed unimaginable - it's the drive and ingenuity - anything is possible., And when Neil set foot on the lunar surface for the first time, he showed moments of human achievement that will not be forgotten, "Obama said.

President Obama said, "the spirit of discovery" Armstrong continues to live to this day in the dignity of all men and women who devoted their lives to exploring something unknown.

"The legacy that will last. Lit the one who has taught us the great power of a small step."
