'Ice Age' which was released a decade ago instantly get a standing ovation from the audience and critics. Although animation BlueSky Studios is still far behind its quality by Pixar or DreamWorks Animation, but thanks to his sense of humor is fun for all ages, 'Ice Age' directly get a place in the hearts of movie fans. Now the fourth series entitled 'Continental Drift' was released.
Series four times is still telling the three companions adventure that Manny (Ray Romano), Sid (John Leguizamo) and Diego (Denis Leary). And like the previous series, the three friends is facing the Earth's climate is unstable.
In times of unexpected sudden departure of ice they are cracked and three friends had been separated from their families. Desperate and scared Manny, Sid and Diego even met with the pirates who use the ice cracks as they ship. Of particular interest is one of the pirate crew was Shira (Jennifer Lopez) who is still single species with Diego. Romance was bubbly.
Meanwhile in another land, the wife of Manny, Ellie (Queen Latifah) must take care of his son, Peaches (Keke Palmer) is unstable. Such behavior of adolescents in general Peaches makes her hot mom. Peaches alone crush it out with the cool mammoth named Ethan (Drake), although Louis (Josh Gad) obviously has a crush on him. And of course there is Scrat (Chris Wedge) is obsessed with walnut and causing havoc everywhere.
In the end, the mission of the most valuable of all the adventures that are friends and family has always been number one. Like the animated films released today in 3D, the series 'Ice Age' is the latest to be outdone was also not to show off. Fortunately, the 3D effect 'Ice Age Continental Drift' is quite satisfactory. Almost all of the scenes feel different even though the animated film is not so impressive.
In the story 'Ice Age Continental Drift' is no different from the previous series. Full of moral, decent humor hilarious and exciting adventure. That is less than the film, has not been able to meet a good animated movie formula: a story that is safe for the family without looking too stupid for mature audiences. Pixar did well in all of their work, but BlueSky Studios has not such an expert about this.
But, even so 'Ice Age Continental Drift' is definitely a fun family viewing. If you do not want to nephew or brother you see the kissing scene between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, you can invite them to watch this movie. After all, who would have the heart to say no to see the adventures of Scrat are (always) crazy?
