McCartney Awarded Napoleon Creation Award

Paul McCartney received the highest award from the French government, the Legion of Honour, for his services in the field of music.

Former Beatle received an award in a lavish ceremony straight from President Francois Hollande at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

As a holder of the Legion of Honor decoration, McCartney in the group with a number of other well-known icons such as actor Clint Eastwood and singers Barbra Streisand and Liza Minnelli.

In the country, in the UK, McCartney was also awarded the title of nobility by Queen Elizabeth in 1997 and bears out Sir calls since then.

After a ceremony in Paris, McCartney said, "A great honor to receive this award."
Recently, a man who has been married several times is also entertaining audiences by performing universal in the 2012 London Olympics opening performances.

Legion of Honour award created by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802 and is divided into five levels: Knight, Officer, Commander, Officer High, and Elected Officers.

McCartney, 70, has undergone a very successful musical career throughout his life along with his famous The Beatles to the world. It is he and his band John Lennon park which then spawned hits such as "Yesterday" and "A Hard Day's Night", before leading the band broke in 1970. Later, McCartney went on a solo musical career.
